Holds the modules at the design tilt
The structure carries rows of solar modules at a fixed angle above the ground, row after row across the site.

Ground Mountings & Purlins
Ground Mountings are fixed-tilt steel structures for ground-mounted solar arrays: posts set in the ground, inclined rafters, purlins that carry the module rails, and bracing, made from cold-formed sections and fabrication to the array drawing. Specify the drawing, steel grade, finish and the quantity you need.
At a glance
The structure carries rows of solar modules at a fixed angle above the ground, row after row across the site.
Each part is cut, punched and galvanized to the array designer's drawing, so the kit goes together with bolts on site.
Round tube posts of 60, 75, 89 and 114 mm or C and sigma sections, in IS 2062 E250, S235 / S355, ASTM A36 / A653, plain, painted, hot dip galvanised (85 µm to ASTM A123 / ISO 1461) or pre-galvanised.
Also known as
Ground Mountings are ground mount racking in the US, ground mounting systems in the UK and ground mount systems in Australia; in other languages they are impianto fotovoltaico a terra (Italian) and estructura fija (Spanish).
Posts are driven, screwed or concreted into the ground in rows. Rafters are bolted to the post heads at the design tilt, and purlins are bolted across the rafters. Bracing ties the frame front to back, and the module rails and clamps are fixed to the purlins.
Common applications
Large arrays repeat one table design across the site. Every part is made and galvanized to the same drawing.
Factories and campuses put arrays on spare land beside their buildings. Tables are sized to the plot.
Farm arrays stand on pasture or unused ground. Galvanised steel suits the open site.
