Pipe Support Systems

Pipework in a building or plant has to be hung, joined and drained. Corona makes pipe clamps and the threaded rod they hang from, stainless steel collars for flanged joints, and sump receivers that seat roof drains in the deck. Each part is made to the pipe size, thread, grade and finish the buyer specifies.

Where it's used

Parts that hang, join and drain pipework.

Plumbing, heating and cooling

Water, drainage, heating and chilled water pipes run under floors and along ceilings on clamps hung from threaded rod. Rubber-lined clamps quieten the pipe and stop it rubbing. Pipe Clamps and Threaded Rods / Bars cover it.

Process and stainless piping

Food, chemical and water-treatment plants run stainless pipe with flanged joints that can be opened for cleaning and maintenance. A collar welded to the pipe end lets a loose flange turn to line up its bolt holes. Stainless Steel Collars (For Flanges), Pipe Clamps and Threaded Rods / Bars cover it.

Roof drainage

Flat roofs on steel deck drain through roof drains set into sumps in the deck. A sump receiver fills the opening cut in the deck and carries the drain body at the right level. Sump Receiver (Finish: Zinc Plated, Powder Coated) covers it.

Questions answered

Common questions about pipe support parts.

What pipe sizes do the clamps cover?
Corona makes pipe clamps for 1/2 to 30 in (15 to 750 mm) pipe, in 3 to 20 mm strip. Smaller clamps have a welded M8 / M10 boss for the hanger rod, and they come unlined or with an EPDM rubber lining.
Which threaded rod standards does Corona make to?
Threaded rod in 1/4 to 2-1/2 in and M6 to M60, in UNC, BSW or metric thread to DIN 975 and DIN 976. Buyers specify the grade: ASTM A307 or class 4.8 and 8.8 carbon steel, ASTM A193 B7, or stainless steel.
What is a stainless steel collar for a flange?
It is a formed stainless ring, also called a stub end, that is welded to the end of the pipe. A loose backing flange slides over it and clamps the joint, so the flange never touches the fluid and can turn to line up its bolt holes. Corona makes them in 304, 304L, 316 and 316L for 1/2 to 24 in pipe.
What does a sump receiver do?
A sump receiver is a steel plate with a raised round collar that fits into the opening cut in a metal roof deck. It supports the roof drain body and forms the sump the roof drains into. Corona makes them zinc plated or powder coated, sized to the drain.
Which finishes are available?
Pipe clamps come plain, zinc plated, hot dip galvanised or powder coated. Threaded rod comes plain, zinc plated or hot dip galvanised. Collars are stainless steel, and sump receivers are zinc plated or powder coated.
